saturday 2nd June 2018 - tunbridge wells town-wide yard sale
Following last year's great success with over 180 stall holders all across town, the Tunbridge Wells town-wide Yard Sale is back!
Most of us have more stuff than we need, and though we know it and occasionally sort through some of it, we can find it difficult to find the motivation to crack on and get de-cluttering.
The benefits of de-cluttering are well researched and documented. They include:
- lower stress levels
- better physical and mental health
- better performance at work
- more space
- generally more happiness
By organizing a yard sale and encouraging everyone to get involved, I invite people to look at what they have and feel some motivation to make a start to reduce the clutter. And have a bit of fun along the way too!
Venue: All over Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Date and time: Saturday 2nd June 2018 from 10:00 to 16:00
Cost: completely FREE for everyone!
All the details can be found here: www.twyardsale.co.uk.
25/26th June 2018 - lighten the load and bounce back
I am delighted to be collaborating with Joanna Young of WildGeese Leadership for this new 2-day resilience and de-cluttering workshop.
The interactive 2 days will start with surveying your current environment, looking at what is draining your energy and what is replenishing it. We will then look at how to build resilience in order to better manage the demands and pressures of everyday life.
The workshop utilizes a wide range of strategies to provide insights, and talks through practical tools that can be applied straight away. Participants leave feeling lighter, freer, more confident, positive and empowered. By creating more space for themselves as well as improving resilience and well-being, participants will also become a source of strength and support for others, creating improved relationships with colleagues, team members, family, and friends.
Also included will be an individual personalized MBTI® Stress Management Report, providing valuable insights into how to recognize and handle stress (workplace and everyday life), and minimize its impact.
Date and time: Monday 25th June (9:30 to 4:45) & Tuesday 26th June (9:30 to 4:30)
For registrations or questions, please get in touch through the contact form.
I have just been to my second talk by Ingrid and I am amazed by the impact her words have on my behaviour. This time I went with the idea that I probably won’t get any new inspiration because I have heard this talk before but that was not the case. I left with lots of practical ideas to make my life feel just a bit lighter. I have been able to put a few simple ideas into action to de-clutter my electronic world and thus give me more head space. I now choose the electronic interactions I get and when I get them. No more electronic intrusions! I have also gained a better understanding of what is clutter and what is OK, and ways of making my world work for me.
Ingrid’s approach is non-judgemental, she adapts and flexes to meet each person’s individual relationship with their stuff and their environment. Whether you are neat and tidy or a complete hoarder, Ingrid will have ideas to help make your life feel less cluttered whether that be physically, emotionally or mentally.
