I have written about this before, about the invisible carbon footprint of our digital activity. But this puts it into perspective! (source: Wired magazine, Jan 2020)

Our e-mails, chats, Google searches, YouTube watches, weather checks… they all happen as if by magic. But these are powered by vast data centres, which are built in remote locations so that we don’t have to think about them.

So often I hear from my clients that they really struggle with their inboxes. They cause them immense stress and make them feel overwhelmed.

Perhaps we all need to think more before sending an e-mail (or any other electronic message). Because it’s quite simple really: the fewer we send, the fewer we receive. Give it a try!

And if you want a thinking partner to help you cut through the digital clutter, get in touch and let’s talk.
