Last week I joined the very lovely team from Skillspotting SA again to be an observer on a Development Center. The purpose was to put young managers through a series of activities (some involving old-school stationary!) and online tests, and to provide them with tailored feedback at the end.
An emerging theme this time was blind spots. Participants were fairly aware of their own behaviors and drivers, and they had strategies in place to manage these. What they had not considered was how these strategies might impact on their teams and colleagues.
