A few weeks ago, I went to Paris for a piece of work and travelled on the Eurostar, a train with a cruising pace of around 270km/hour. We take it for granted, but it’s a staggering speed machine!
Nowadays, everything is going faster. And when it comes to IT projects, speed is one of the three dimensions for service delivery (alongside quality and budget). If things are veering off track, these three dimensions will be impacted.
Like the world around us, IT delivery is also speeding up. Cloud computing and Agile methodologies are examples of technical and procedural shifts, but the people also need to adapt. And that’s the tricky part. Because besides doing everything faster, they also need to do more, in increasingly complex organizational structures, with less staff. And that puts everyone under more and more pressure.
As a senior leader, you might see that the output is not quite what it needs to be and that your teams need support, but you are feeling the pressure too. You just don’t have the time you need to take a step back, take a deep breath and focus on how to proceed effectively.
If you are struggling to find the time to think, get in touch and let’s clear some space for you to do just that.
